The Sheoaks Picnic Area is as a beautiful place with lots of walking tracks leading to various waterfalls. The picnic area offers BBQ facilities, plenty of seating, and toilet amenities. However, there is no drinking water available, so visitors are advised to bring their own. The location is praised for its tranquility and peacefulness. Visitors can enjoy various forest types, rivers, birds, bridges, and walking tracks starting and ending at the picnic area. It is suitable for the whole family, offering hours of activities. The parking is somewhat limited, and the area can become crowded during busy times. Some visitors have encountered magpies that might try to steal food, so caution is advised. The road leading to the picnic area is not paved and can be a bit bumpy.

Generally, it is permissible to utilize your own gas BBQ, provided it remains under continuous supervision. However, the usage of Charcoal BBQ's is typically restricted, with the exception of parks equipped with designated charcoal disposal bins.
